Peter S. Eckert, MAI, SRA

President

Founder and President of Eckert and Company, Peter is a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in Virginia and North Carolina with over 45 years of experience in the commercial real estate business. A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University, Mr. Eckert holds the SRA, MAI and CRE designations and serves as the Principal Broker of Resource Realty, Inc.  He remains actively involved in promoting the ownership, use and development of commercial real estate by serving in many capacities with the Hampton Roads, Greater Richmond, and the Virginia Association for Commercial Real Estate. Peter has qualified as an expert appraiser and counselor in various courts in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Scott C. Eckert, MBA

Associate Appraiser

Scott is an Associate Appraiser with Eckert and Company. Scott is actively involved in valuation assignments of multifamily property throughout Virginia. He specializes in valuations and rent studies for market rate and affordable multifamily properties according to HUD, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and VHDA requirements. Scott is a Registered Trainee Appraiser in the Commonwealth of Virginia and is continuing his education towards becoming a Certified General Appraiser. Scott received his B.S. degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and later earned his MBA from the College of William and Mary’s Mason School of Business. He is a licensed Virginia real estate salesperson.

Jana Corbitt

Real Estate Research Analyst

Jana received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Texas. She joined Eckert and Company in 2017 supporting our report writing, research and market surveying efforts. She is a licensed Virginia real estate salesperson.
